Cardiovascular disease (or CVD) is the leading cause of deaths worldwide and is the No.1 killer in Malaysia. It kills more people than cancer, claiming one in every five hospital deaths.

Death, disability and sickness burden us with costly medical bills. The good news is that we can take measures to limit its risks through a healthy diet and lifestyle.

In 36 countries, fish consumption has been shown to reduce the risk of heart attacks and stroke mortality. People who ate at least some fish weekly had a far lower risk of dying from congenital heart disease (CHD), compared to those who ate none.
